Job Type: Non-Exempt W-2, Hourly – Part-Time
Shift & Schedule:
- Up to 20 hours per week as scheduled by the supervisor and on-call as needed.
- Scheduling needs may vary based on business demands, and adjustments may be required as reasonably assigned.
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and credentials.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to perform a wide variety of plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties in the Baltimore area. This part-time role offers flexible hours and is ideal for a licensed plumber looking to supplement their existing workload or take on project-based work.
The Plumber will respond to routine service requests, emergency repairs, and planned upgrades while working independently or in collaboration with property maintenance and renovation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Installation & Repair:
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drain systems, fixtures, and appliances including sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
- Diagnose and resolve leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and other plumbing issues.
- Replace or repair damaged piping, valves, and plumbing connections.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, parts used, and hours worked.
- Follow applicable regulations including COMAR, CARF, and company policies related to service delivery and documentation.
Customer Service & Operational Support:
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in residential and commercial environments.
- Assist supervisors with additional work-related requests and operational support initiatives.
- Participate in audits, quality assurance activities, training exercises, and safety drills as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client and operational information.
Licenses / Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Journeyman or Master Plumber License
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Gas line or backflow certification is a plus
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently
- Reliable transportation and personal tools required
- Experience in multi-unit housing, affordable housing, or supportive housing settings preferred
- Ability to assess and quote materials and labor for small projects
- Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance if working as a 1099 contractor

Education / Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational training or certification preferred
Physical Demands

- Frequent operation of a motor vehicle
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Potential evening, weekend, and holiday work as needed
- Exposure to hazardous materials, heights, and confined spaces
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required in certain situations
