Commercial Executive

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Executive. The successful candidate can be based either in Johannesburg or East London · Develop and roll out long-term commercial plans aligned with the company’s strategic direction. · Lead and inspire Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams to deliver exceptional results. · Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers across retail, wholesale, and industrial channels. · Identify and capitalize on new business and export opportunities to grow market reach. · Champion brand visibility, product development, and customer engagement initiatives. · Ensure operational efficiency in supply chain, logistics, and route-to-market activities. · Use data and market insights to influence strategic business decisions. · Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and collaboration. Requirements · Grade 12. · A degree in Commerce, Business Management, or Marketing (MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus). · At least 10 years’ commercial leadership experience, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing. · Demonstrated success in growing revenue, leading teams, and managing key accounts. · Strong business acumen with expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. · Solid understanding of brand development, consumer behaviour, and market trends. · A hands-on leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to execute and deliver. · Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and collaborative in approach · Valid drivers license. · Candidate can be based in either Johannesburg or East London.
