Endurance is building the world's first modular subsea geothermal power plants, converting vast thermal resources under the ocean into gigawatts of baseload power. Backed by First Round Capital and Point72 Ventures, our founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Helion, and Robinhood. We have completed multiple deep ocean deployments and are launching our generation pilot this year. By leveraging manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on both environmental impact and cost.
Responsibilities
~1 min readThis is not a "fix recruiting" role. We have a high functioning interview process, a team of leaders who show up for hiring, and an ATS that works. What we need is someone who can take all of that and make it scale. You will own the people function across recruiting, culture, compensation, and organizational design as we grow from 20 to 100 people across multiple geographies. Eventually you will hire and manage an HR operations person to handle onboarding and daily administration so you can stay focused on strategy. You will also have a seat at the table for how we build our internal culture.

Design our performance review and compensation framework from scratch

Lead the people strategy for new site buildouts

Partner with the executive team on culture, employer brand, and internal communications

Own all people operations infrastructure and vendor relationships
Requirements

Direct experience scaling a company through a startup growth phase (20 to 100+)
Demonstrated ability to recruit and close world class hardware engineers
Experience building compensation frameworks, leveling systems, and performance review processes
Comfort operating across both corporate and manufacturing hiring environments
You have strong opinions about what great culture looks like and how to build it intentionally
