Responsibilities
~1 min readClient & Delivery Leadership
- →Lead end‑to‑end delivery for mainframe application management engagements
- →Act as the senior escalation point for delivery and relationship issues
- →Build trusted relationships with client executives and stakeholders
- →Lead service reviews, governance forums, and value discussions
Operational Excellence
- →Ensure high‑quality delivery across application support, maintenance, and enhancements
- →Drive continuous improvement in service stability, automation, and efficiency
- →Oversee incident, problem, change, and release management processes
- →Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to deliver integrated outcomes
Financial Management
- →Own financial performance for assigned accounts, including revenue, margin, and forecasting
- →Ensure delivery aligns with contractual commitments and cost models
- →Support renewals, expansions, and solution enhancements
People Leadership
- →Lead and develop global, distributed delivery teams
- →Build a strong leadership bench and promote a culture of accountability and collaboration
- →Support workforce planning and skills development initiatives
- Apply AI‑enabled approaches to mainframe application support and development, improving speed, quality, and predictability.
- Use AI to support code analysis, change impact assessment, and defect trend identification across COBOL, batch, CICS, and DB2 workloads.
- Drive improvements in incident management, including faster triage, root cause identification, and reduction of repeat incidents.
- Leverage AI to streamline testing, documentation, and knowledge management, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
- Support modernization and optimization initiatives by applying AI to application discovery, documentation, and rationalization efforts.
- Ensure AI usage aligns with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and enterprise governance standards.
Modernization & Innovation
- Support mainframe optimization and modernization initiatives
- Partner with consulting and architecture teams on transformation roadmaps
- Help clients evolve their application environments while maintaining operational stability
- 15+ years of IT service delivery experience, with deep expertise in mainframe application management
- Proven leadership in large‑scale managed services environments
- Strong understanding of mainframe application technologies (e.g., COBOL, CICS, DB2, batch, schedulers)
- Experience using AI or intelligent automation in mainframe or legacy application environments (not solely cloud‑native or distributed systems).
- Understanding of how AI can be applied safely in regulated, high‑availability environments.
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into measurable delivery outcomes such as reduced MTTR, improved release quality, or productivity gains.
- Experience managing critical application environments for large organizations and senior client stakeholders
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Work with long‑tenured enterprise clients and mission‑critical systems
- Influence modernization journeys while maintaining operational excellence
- Be part of a culture that values flexibility, trust, and expertise
- Lead at scale within one of the industry’s strongest mainframe service organizations
