About the Role

The Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture & Transformation is responsible for leading and advancing Ensono's Transformation Architecture Office across Transformation & Transition (T&T), Migration & Onboarding (M&O), Public Cloud, Enterprise Solutions Architecture, High-Level Design (HLD), and Low-Level Design (LLD) functions.  This leadership role is accountable for the overall health, maturity, effectiveness, and strategic direction of the architecture discipline. The Senior Director will develop and lead a high-performing team of architects, establish architecture standards and governance, and drive alignment across presales, delivery, engineering, operations, and product organizations. 

As a senior technical and business leader, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and clients, ensuring architecture strategies are translated into successful business outcomes while enabling scalable, supportable, and profitable solutions.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Engineering, Consulting, or Technology Transformation leadership.
  • Proven experience leading architecture organizations and multidisciplinary architecture teams.
  • Deep technical expertise across public cloud, private cloud, infrastructure modernization, migration, resiliency, backup and recovery, networking, and operational architecture.
  • Experience working directly with Product Development, Platform Engineering, and Engineering leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
  • Proven ability to develop talent, build high-performing teams, and lead through influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Enterprise Architecture certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent.
  • Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud professional certifications.
  • ITIL, PMP, SAFe, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated industries, including healthcare and financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Transformation Architecture Office, including Technical Architects, LLD Architects, Migration Architects, Cloud Architects, Enterprise Solution Architects, and Architecture Consultants.
  • Establish the vision, strategy, structure, and operating model for the architecture organization.
  • Build architecture career paths, succession planning, technical development programs, and mentoring frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align architecture priorities with business objectives and organizational strategy.
  • Establish architecture standards, methodologies, governance processes, review boards, and quality controls across the organization.
  • Drive consistency, reuse, and continuous improvement across architecture deliverables and practices.
  • Provide executive oversight across the full architecture lifecycle from target-state architecture through HLD, LLD, migration design, operational readiness, and ongoing optimization.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with client executives, technology leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on cloud modernization, workload transformation, migration strategy, resiliency, operational readiness, and technology roadmaps.
  • Partner with Sales Architecture and delivery teams to improve solution quality, reduce risk, and enhance client outcomes. 
  • Advocate for client needs while balancing operational, technical, and commercial objectives.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Product Development, Platform Engineering, Service Engineering, and Cloud Engineering teams to align architecture strategy with product and technology roadmaps.
  • Create strong feedback loops between architecture, delivery, operations, and engineering organizations.
  • Champion modern architectural practices, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and emerging technologies that improve delivery effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted architecture practices that improve discovery, design quality, knowledge sharing, documentation, risk analysis, and overall architect productivity.
  • Mature and scale the Transformation Architecture Office into a strategic organizational capability.
  • Improve alignment between presales, architecture, migration, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Increase architecture quality, consistency, reuse, and governance effectiveness.
  • Accelerate adoption of AI-enabled architecture practices and modern engineering approaches.
  • Improve client outcomes, delivery predictability, operational readiness, and overall business performance.
  • Strengthen Ensono's architecture leadership, technical capability, and trusted advisor presence across the client lifecycle.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $180,000 to $242,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
