About this opportunity
Are you excited by the idea of keeping global logistics flowing while learning how business critical systems run behind the scenes? As an IT System Engineer – Hardware Services & Logistics (Graduate), you will support Ericsson’s global Hardware Services organization by helping to operate and evolve the tools that enable Service Area Repair and reverse logistics for spare parts.
You will join a global, multicultural team that supports ~1,000 customer contracts delivering Hardware Services, mainly spare part replacements. Your work will directly contribute to reverse logistics and supply chain performance for customers worldwide, giving you hands on experience in how technology, data and logistics come together.
What you will do
• Support senior colleagues in keeping SAN/SAR tools (for example FSM/M5) available, stable and secure, so that spare part logistics and repair flows run smoothly.
• Help monitor daily operations, tracking repair and replacement orders, and following up on incidents or delays in the logistics chain.
• Investigate and resolve basic system incidents and service requests, coordinating with more senior engineers and vendors when needed.
• Monitor system health and logistics related KPIs (such as turnaround times, backlog and SLA performance), flagging risks and contributing to improvement actions.
• Translate logistics and operational needs into clear system requirements and configuration requests under guidance.
• Contribute to the migration from current tooling (including FSM/M5) to new SAN/SAR applications based on Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Support testing, cutover, go live and hyper care activities for new or changed logistics related solutions.
• Identify and suggest opportunities to use automation, AI and data analysis to simplify monitoring, ticket handling and routine logistics tasks.
• Document procedures, update work instructions and share knowledge to improve ways of working over time.
• Collaborate across functions, countries and time zones, contributing to a positive, learning oriented team culture.
You bring
• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, IT or a related field.
• Basic understanding of logistics, reverse logistics and/or supply chain operations from studies, projects or internships.
• Good understanding or strong interest in IT systems and platforms, and how they support logistics and service operations.
• Curiosity to learn about ERP / field service platforms such as Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and SaaS platforms, or the motivation to learn them.
• Interest in data, automation, AI and/or machine learning and how they can improve logistics and service performance, plus awareness of IT security and access management principles.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (is a must).
• A customer focused mindset, strong collaboration skills and an outgoing, communicative personality.
• A “can do”, proactive attitude and willingness to learn from more experienced colleagues in a fast paced, global environment.
