We are looking for a responsible, organised individual with a practical approach to work on scaling our solid-state fermentation plant.
This is a senior expert role. Previous experience of >2y in scaling solid state fermenetation processes is a must; ideally in food environments.
This is a key role within our Barcelona pilot plant, offering a high degree of operational autonomy and direct responsibility for testing and validating scaling mechanisms, experiment design and investment decisions.

A positive attitude and an overflowing motivation
Experience in working with strong aseptic conditions required for fungal mycology
A track record of willingness to learn, adapt, get stuff done, and be proactive
Independence and strong sense of ownership for tasks
Excellent written and verbal skills in English
Experience in high-speed environments such as consulting or startups can be a plus
You will work in a cross-disciplinary Production team with food technologists, biotechnologists, microbiologists, engineers at a cutting-edge technology.
