Business Automation Engineer

Etched is scaling faster than any other company in the AI hardware space. To match that pace, our internal operations and decision-making systems need to be as innovative as our chips. We’re looking for a Business Automation Engineer to design and build the automation infrastructure that unifies our business intelligence, streamlines cross-functional workflows, and powers data-driven decision-making across GTM, talent, legal, and production operations.

This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role with a business lens. You’ll scope problems directly with stakeholders, architect and ship automation systems end-to-end, and own adoption so your work has immediate impact.

• Have strong full-stack development skills and experience shipping end-to-end business applications with clean, maintainable code.

• Are comfortable integrating disparate systems and designing resilient, low-maintenance automations that scale with growth.

• Think like a business operator: you understand how GTM, production, talent, and legal workflows intersect with company strategy and scope projects for maximum leverage.

Etched believes in the Bitter Lesson. We think most of the progress in the AI field has come from using more FLOPs to train and run models, and the best way to get more FLOPs is to build model-specific hardware. Larger and larger training runs encourage companies to consolidate around fewer model architectures, which creates a market for single-model ASICs.

We are a fully in-person team in San Jose (Santana Row) and expect all of our technical staff to contribute broadly across functions.
