✓Assisting technicians in anesthetic procedures.
✓Assisting doctors during examinations.
✓Setting up anesthesia equipment.
✓Setting up and breaking down surgery room.
✓Placing catheters, taking vitals and pulling blood.
✓Prepare samples for outside laboratories.
✓Assist technicians in administering chemotherapy.
✓Setting up a radiology room.
✓Housekeeping
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
✓Assistant certification preferred but not required
✓Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required
✓This is a Full-Time position. Four days a week, 10-hour shifts.
✓Must be able to work weekends and holidays – On Call Rotation Schedule
✓Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant
✓Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
✓Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
✓Familiarity with animal husbandry practices
✓Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
✓Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
✓Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and be able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
✓Strong work ethics and positive attitude
✓Physical ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes (up to 50 lbs. unassisted).
✓Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
✓Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
