About the Role
~4 min readReporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing strategic long-range plans to sustain and extend the Life of Mine at Greenhills Operations. The role involves executing all aspects of long-range planning including: pit, spoil and haul road design optimizations, life of mine schedules, strategic evaluations, all while considering potential impacts to sustainable development. This role also leads and supports key deliverables, including the Life of Asset, 5-year plan, budget, forecast and R&R, by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that deadlines are met. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to make a positive impact on the business.

- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Registered P.Eng., or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); EVR will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration
- Minimum seven years experience in mine planning
- Proficiency in mine scheduling software such as XPAC Solutions, and mine design software such as MinePlan3D
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
