Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Assist in the coordination of maintenance projects in a processing plant, water treatment facility or in mobile maintenance with heavy duty mining equipment
Organize, schedule and monitor the status of maintenance projects
Monitor project budgets and identify inefficiencies and offer cost effective solutions
Support operations and work with skilled trades to troubleshoot equipment failure and develop repair scopes of work
Collaborate with engineering team to produce detailed designs for mechanical projects on site such as upgrades to equipment or building facilities
Support reliability maintenance initiatives including failure and root cause analysis
Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions
Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical and operational personnel
Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and a solid understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks would be advantageous
Receive financial assistance for travel expenses and co-op fees
Acquire hands-on experience applying academic knowledge to real-world mining operations, fostering the development of technical skills
