EXALTA in Marquette, MI is hiring a Materials Tech on our Logistics Team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and make an impact on patients' lives. This opportunity is open to entry-level or someone with experience in shipping and logistics.

Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Materials Tech – All Levels: represents an entry level position through an advanced level. The Materials Tech will continue to develop technical skills in their assigned areas, further their growth as team contributors, and begin using their experience and technical abilities to demonstrate leadership characteristics. This position is critical in helping EXALTA Group maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Materials Tech – All Levels: 

  • Choose inventory to fulfill customer orders
  • Utilize Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP) in daily activities
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, and efficiency surrounding the movement and storage of goods and materials
  • Receive, document, process, and/or issue or return inventory according to established procedures and work instructions
  • Accurately manages inventories and distributes materials in the warehouse to manufacturing and all other internal and external customers
  • Pack customer orders according to their guidelines
  • Transport and distribute materials throughout the plant to support manufacturing
  • Receive training to drive forklift in support of company operations
  • Issue/return raw materials to fill production orders
  • Process complaint returns from customers
  • Build pallets of materials for shipment, if needed
  • Conduct and process cycle count inventories
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with Resolve’s safety protocols and OSHA requirements.

Materials Tech 1: 

  • Entry-level position
  • Receive deliveries into the facility
  • Issue/return raw materials to fill production orders
  • Transport materials throughout the plant to support manufacturing

Materials Tech 2: Inclusive of level 1 responsibilities

  • Intermediate-level position
  • Utilize the company's ERP system for tasks including but not limited to:
    • Ship orders to customers according to their guidelines
    • Receive deliveries into the facility
    • Process lower level components in need of processing from outside vendors
    • Process inventory adjustments and requisitions in SAP and associated forms
    • Process purchase requisitions
  • Pull shop orders and stage raw materials in final locations
  • Assist with coordinating and conducting training where applicable and needed

Materials Tech 3: Inclusive of level 1 & 2 responsibilities

  • Advanced-level position
  • Provide guidance to level 1 & 2 Materials Techs
  • Prepare purchase orders including product prints, and PESs sending copies of each to contractors after reviewing purchase order accuracy
  • Fulfill Inventory Requisition and Adjustment Forms as needed or assigned
  • Prepares items, schedules, verifies, and maintains records of incoming and outgoing freight shipments as assigned
  • Act as a delegate for the manager in their absence, if assigned
  • Assist with coordinating and conducting training where applicable and needed

Nice to Have

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-year equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2-5 years' prior work experience preferred for experienced candidates

Technical Competencies 

  • Computer skills (Standard Works, following SOPs, navigating One Drive/SharePoint, Quality Management System)
  • Basic to Advanced inspection techniques
  • Basic to Advanced Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) knowledge/fundamentals
  • Equipment selection and maintenance knowledge
