Responsible for daily shipping and receiving activities of production and non-inventory items.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipments and deliveries to customers and clients on a daily basis, including boxing product, preparing all shipping paperwork, creating packing slips, addressing packages and arranging transportation services.
  • Perform shipping and receiving transactions in ERP system to ensure accuracy of information, and file associated paperwork to maintain traceability.
  • Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
  • Coordinate scheduled pick ups with UPS, Fed-Ex and other shipping companies.
  • Coordinate local deliveries, drop offs and pickups with customers or vendors and TMI’s driver.
  • Receive incoming shipments, count product and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase order quantities, enter transactions in ERP, pull work orders and distribute product to appropriate department or person.
  • Receive RMA, verify count and serial numbers against packing slips or spreadsheets, enter transactions into ERP, and distribute RMA product to the service department.
  • Maintain inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies and order as needed to ensure necessary materials are always on hand.
  • Maintain all records of product that has been shipped and received, preparing reports regularly for management.
  • Communicate and interact with all necessary departments to exchange pertinent shipping & receiving information and problem solve issues to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance of all company work instructions and standard operating procedures for all aspects of the job.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure proper and complete documentation of all required paperwork and data in ERP system. Maintain all documentation as required.
  • Complete all documentation per ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • 2+ years of shipping & receiving and inventory experience preferred. 
  • Prior experience with coordinating shipments through UPS, Fed-Ex and other shipping companies and knowledge of the various shipping programs. 
  • Experienced in the operation of forklift, pallet jacks and hand trucks. Forklift certification required. 
  • Basic knowledge of computers, ERP and inventory systems. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to track shipments and other data. 
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience is ISO/FDA environment preferred.
  • Proficient in math, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to count and be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve work issues. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and ISO & FDA regulations.
  • Ability to repeat the same physical and mental activities over and over. 
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, handle stressful situations, multitask and ability to prioritize work. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously. 
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally and constructively. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Includes exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Work environment is temperature controlled, however will fluctuate based on the air temperature.
