The Senior Manager, Finance, Planning & Analysis plays a critical role in partnering with GSFS leadership to drive the profitability and operational excellence of GSFS finance and insurance (F&I) products and services. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting and Finance, this leader delivers high‑impact financial insights, strengthens business performance through strategic partnership, and enhances planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting capabilities across the organization.

 

This role is responsible for:

  • Delivering clear, actionable management reporting and analysis.
  • Partnering with business leaders to optimize performance and spending.
  • Leading the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Improving systems, processes, and analytical capabilities; and
  • Supporting cross‑functional initiatives, projects, and ad‑hoc analyses.
  • The Senior Manager will also champion collaboration, communication, and financial education across GSFS and the broader Friedkin organization.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for executive audience.
    • Lead the development and enhancement of forecasting and budgeting models, integrating data from product costing, and other systems as needed.
    • Own key components of short‑term budgets and forecasts (e.g., compensation, sales general &administrative expenses, project costs) and lead full P&L planning for long‑range forecasts.
    • Build and maintain a unified internal reporting framework, including KPIs and dashboards that support fast, informed decision‑making and profitability optimization.
    • Navigate and integrate multiple data sources beyond the general ledger to improve accuracy, insight, and efficiency.
    • Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing analysis, recommendations, and financial guidance to strengthen performance.
    • Oversee financial aspects of major projects, including spend control, performance tracking, business case validation, and corrective action planning.
    • Expand knowledge across investment operations, portfolio management, credit ratings, and industry specific statutory requirements to provide cross functional coverage.
    • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems and business processes that enable best‑in‑class analytics and reporting.
    • Influence and collaborate across Accounting and Finance to drive process improvements, productivity gains, and operational excellence.

    Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
      • 7–8 years of relevant financial planning, analysis, or accounting experience.
      • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, timeline management, and executive‑level presentation.
      • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
      • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, ERP systems, and other analytical tools.
      • Ability to work across multiple data platforms and synthesize complex information.
      • Proven ability to lead and influence change through example.
      • Experience in high‑growth or fast‑paced environments.
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including executive level financial storytelling and presentations.
      • Customer‑focused mindset with strong internal/external stakeholder engagement.
      • Solid understanding of financial and performance metrics.

    Nice to Have

    • CPA or CFA license (preferred but not required).
    • Knowledge of GAAP, SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles), and insurance/F&I regulatory requirements.
    • Experience with F&I products and industry‑specific financial frameworks.

While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

    Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
