As a Matte Painter, you will create photorealistic 2D and 3D matte paintings of subject matter to be used as an elements to either embellish or replace live action footage.

Create photorealistic paintings and elements that match concept and style using 3D and 2D tools and techniques including camera setup, modeling for projection, camera animation, projection setup, image re-projection, and atmospherics and light passes

Provide or acquire photographic reference materials

Combine photographic, paint, and 3d assets to conceptualize, create and design environments using techniques such as camera animation, image projection, layering, and lighting

Perform tasks related to integrating imagery into shots, preserving a unified sense of lighting, perspective, and color

Combine painting skills in animation software with a knowledge of photography, practical and digital modeling, and design to create 2D and 3D paintings

Work closely with the VFX Supervisors to determine best methods to complete work in timely manner and ensure that plates meet planned concept design requirements

Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Digital Matte Painter for live action feature films

Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Maya and Nuke (required)

Working knowledge of Mari, Modelling, and Composting

Advanced knowledge of matte-painting techniques and/or technical experience in photography/lighting with an emphasis on color and composition

Ideal candidate must be able to multitask, be self-motivated, proactive, and manage all aspects on an environment and sequence level

Responsive to guidance and review notes from creative and technical leadership, and able to apply feedback to achieve the required look

Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Matte Painter Artist는 Environment Supervisor와 협업하며, 장편 영화에서 실사 영상을 대체하는 요소로 사용할 사실적인 2D 및 3D의 매트페인팅 작업을 진행합니다.

카메라 셋업, 프로젝션을 위한 모델링, 카메라 애니메이션, 프로젝션 셋업, 이미지 리프로젝션, atmospherics / light 패스들을 포함한 2D와 3D 툴, 기술을 사용하여 컨셉과 스타일에 맞는 사실적인 페인팅을 제작합니다.

프로젝트에서 활용하게 될 실사 레퍼런스 자료를 수집하고 제공합니다.

카메라 애니메이션, 이미지 프로젝션, 레이어링 및 라이팅과 같은 기술을 사용하여 사진, 페인트 및 3D 어셋을 합쳐 환경을 컨셉화, 생성 및 디자인 합니다.

라이팅, 원근 및 색상에 대한 통일된 감각을 유지하면서 이미지를 샷에 통합하는 것과 관련된 작업을 수행합니다.

사진, 실제 혹은 디지털 모델링, 그리고 디자인에 대한 지식을 가지고 애니메이션 소프트웨어 안에서 디지털 페인팅을 통해 2D와 3D 페인팅을 만듭니다.

각 부서 수퍼바이저, VFX 수퍼바이저, 그리고 CG 수퍼바이저와 긴밀히 협력하여 작업을 기한 내에 완료할 수 있는 최상의 방법을 결정하고, 실사 촬영본이 작업을 통해 계획대로 컨셉디자인 요구사항을 충족하는 지 확인합니다.

최소 3년 이상의 실사 영화에서의 디지털 매트페인터 근무 경력 필수

Photoshop, Maya 그리고 Nuke 고급 유저 경력 필수

모델링, 텍스쳐링, 합성 경험 그리고/혹은 지식있으신 분 우대

색감과 컴포지션에 중점을 둔 사진/라이팅 분야의 DMP 기술 경험이 있으시거나 관련 기술에 대한 고급 지식을 보유하고, 순수 미술관련 전공자 우대

멀티태스킹, 자기 동기 부여를 잘하며, 능동적이고 환경 및 시퀀스 수준의 모든 측면을 관리할 수 있는 분

담당 리더가 주는 창의적이고 기술적인 리뷰 노트 및 가이드에 잘 응답하고, 그에 관련된 노트를 작업에 적용하여 요구하는 그림을 만들어낼 수 있는 분

팀웍이 뛰어나고, 최소한의 감독하에 독립적으로 작업할 수 있는 분

문제를 트러블슈팅하고 해결하는 능력이 뛰어난 분
