Visual Pioneering Artist
Quick Summary
Eyeline is a global team of risk takers, innovators and perfectionists who achieve creative visions and have fun doing it. A dynamic workforce nestled within the industry’s most intriguing cities,
Eyeline Studios is seeking a visual thinker who operates at the intersection of cinematography, concept art, and generative visual technology. This is a role for someone who can act as a director of photography without a physical camera, a matte painter without a brush, and a worldbuilder fluent in AI-driven image and video generation tools that shape cinematic imagery at scale.
You’ll craft frame-accurate scenes, design and restyle cinematic sequences, and bring concepts to life across narrative, experimental, and exploratory formats using image-to-image and video-to-video workflows. Working with both open-source and in-house developed generative toolsets, you’ll research, experiment, and refine visuals through art-directed generative workflows , model-driven exploration, and temporal consistency techniques—aligning closely with creative direction while delivering compelling results.
Cinematic Design & Composition: Design, compose, and deliver striking still and motion visuals using both generative and traditional workflows, balancing narrative clarity, emotional depth, and aesthetic precision.
Visual Ownership: Own the visual tone of scenes, environments, and sequences, including lighting design, lens language, spatial composition, atmosphere, and generative look consistency across frames and shots.
Generative Workflow Construction: Design, build, and iterate on advanced generative workflows for concept exploration, worldbuilding, and cinematic ideation—spanning single-frame images, video-to-video restyling, and extended sequences with temporal coherence.
Look Development & Restyling: Lead look development for experimental formats, short-form content, pitch materials, and cinematic explorations, translating scripts or abstract ideas into frame-accurate visual narratives using image-to-image and video-to-video techniques.
Creative Technology Implementation: Collaborate across creative and technical teams to improve generative image and video outputs, explore new visual techniques, and develop workflows for areas such as creature motion studies, photoreal shot design, and style transfer.
Project Visualization: Contribute to projects ranging from early-stage visual exploration to frame-accurate final pixel delivery, with an emphasis on cinematic storytelling through generative and hybrid pipelines.
3+ years of experience in Film Production, VFX, Game Cinematics, or Feature Animation, with roles such as Concept Artist, Production Designer, Art Director, Cinematographer, or DMP / Environment Generalist
Deep understanding of cinematic language (lighting, lenses, framing, pacing, color theory) with a strong instinct for storytelling through composition and motion
Proven ability to create high-fidelity, photorealistic visual worlds, supported by a portfolio demonstrating mastery of light, atmosphere, and narrative mood
Requirements
~1 min readDemonstrated, hands-on experience using generative AI tools for professional visual production, including video-to-video restyling with keyframe or reference-based control
1+ year of experience utilizing machine learning–based image and video generation to innovate artistic designs and enhance visual assets
Strong working knowledge of advanced image and video generation ecosystems (e.g., ComfyUI, InvokeAI, or similar), including node-based workflow construction
Experience shaping, refining, and iterating prompt engineering within ML frameworks to express clear artistic intent and maintain visual continuity
Ability to work fluently outside traditional CG pipelines, producing short-turnaround cinematic content using direct image and video generation tools
Experience building and executing full generative workflows in production environments
Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning visual models or style modules (dataset preparation, fine-tuning, integration into pipelines)
Proven ability to evaluate and compare output quality across different generative models and enhancement systems (e.g., SDXL vs. Flux, Qwen Edit vs. Nano Banana, etc.)
Experience incorporating large language models (LLMs) into creative pipelines for writing, sequencing, ideation, or structural planning
Familiarity with real-time tools, projection workflows, or creative scripting is a plus
Applicants are required to submit a demo reel or portfolio that is closely aligned with this role. Priority will be given to submissions that demonstrate:
Hands-on use of generative image and video workflows
Image-to-image, video-to-video restyling, look development, or cinematic experimentation
Strong cinematic composition, lighting, and visual storytelling
Reels or portfolios that clearly reflect experience with generative and AI-assisted visual workflows will be prioritized during the review process.
