About this role
We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Business Finance professional to join our growing team. This role sits at the heart of FamPay's financial operations and strategy — you'll work closely with the founding team and business heads to drive financial rigour, build scalable processes, and support critical business decisions. Own Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including targets, budgets, and financial roadmap.
Track key business metrics with business leads ensuring accuracy and insights.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across planning cycles.
Prepare EBITDA and P&L reports with commentary on key drivers.
Build financial models for business units, cohorts, and new products.
Partner with product, marketing, and operations for data-driven decisions.
Support pricing strategy, unit economics, and go-to-market assessments.
Evaluate new initiatives, partnerships, and commercial agreements financially.
Collaborate with controllership for timely and accurate monthly book close.
Provide inputs for journal entries, accruals, and period-end adjustments.
Reconcile business systems with the general ledger and flag discrepancies.
Support MIS preparation aligned with operational performance.
Prepare investor and board financial packs and dashboards.
Support fundraising due diligence and data room preparation.
CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution
3–5 years of experience in a startup or high-growth company, preferably in fintech or consumer tech
Curiosity-driven and tech-forward — actively uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to speed up analysis, reporting, and research
Strong command of financial modelling, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial reporting
Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations (GST/TDS), and compliance
Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
Excellent stakeholder management — you're comfortable presenting to business leaders and cross-functional heads

Prior experience at a fintech, payments, or lending startup
Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or due diligence processes
Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Metabase, or similar — ability to pull and interpret data independently
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to build faster workflows — prompt engineering for analysis, auto-generating reports, or AI-assisted modelling
