The Corporate Counsel will be responsible to help manage the Company’s litigation docket and compliance functions. Reporting to the SVP Legal Affairs, this role is crucial in ensuring the Company’s legal interests are protected while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess a robust litigation background and some experience with compliance, including internal investigations, ideally within tech or other high-growth/fast-paced industries.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with external and internal legal counsel, as well as business stakeholders.

Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including pre-litigation disputes and customer complaints, lawsuits, and arbitration.

Evaluate and mitigate legal risks associated with current and potential litigation, including coordination with risk management/insurance.

Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.

Support and conduct eDiscovery workflows, including preservation, collection, review, production, and vendor management.

- →Compliance Matters:

Support compliance and risk management initiatives, including policy development, training, and internal investigations.

Partner with diverse internal business teams (compliance, HR, IT/security, finance, etc.) to proactively identify and mitigate litigation and regulatory risks.

- →Strategic Counsel:

Provide proactive legal advice to senior management on litigation and compliance-related issues.

Keep abreast of legal developments and industry trends to anticipate potential legal challenges and opportunities.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law.

Minimum 8 years of experience in litigation with some experience with compliance.

Law firm and in-house experience (including tech industry) highly desirable.

Proven ability to manage complex legal matters, to resolve disputes directly, as well as work with external counsel effectively.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
