Working Student – Location Intelligence (m/f/d)

As a Location Intelligence Working Student, you will support Fastned's Network Development team in identifying, researching, and evaluating potential sites for new fast-charging stations. You will work with real data to help shape where Europe charges next. You'll be working in a fast-growing European company listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, where people roll up their sleeves and seize opportunities wherever they come. You will work closely with our teams in other European locations and have the unique opportunity to learn all about this exciting industry where you will have an impact on shaping the mobility of the future.
This is a hands-on role based at our Vienna office, where you will become part of a diverse and driven team. As a member of Fastned we want you to 'think like a founder'. We value your input, we expect you to think critically and take ownership.
Responsibilities

Research and analyse potential charging station locations based on traffic data, EV adoption trends, and competitive landscape.

Build and maintain location databases and scoring models to support prioritisation decisions.

Conduct market research across Fastned's existing and target countries to identify high-potential corridors and sites.

Prepare clear analyses, reports, and visualisations to support the Network Development and Commercial teams.

Support due diligence on prospective sites, including site suitability analyses, and landlord/partner landscape assessments.

Monitor competitor network developments and flag strategic insights to the team.
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme, ideally in Geography, Geoinformatics, Urban Planning, Data Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
You have an analytical mindset and enjoy working with data.
Proficiency with geospatial tools (e.g. QGIS) and datasets; experience with Python/SQL is a strong plus.
You are detail-oriented and able to structure and communicate findings clearly.
You are fluent in English; additional European languages are a bonus.
You are someone who takes the initiative and takes responsibility for the tasks assigned to you. A keen eye for detail and critical thinking will help you keep our work up-to-date and accurate.
You are highly motivated by Fastned's mission and excited about the energy transition.
