Often the work requires solving complex problems by turning vast amounts of data into business insights through advanced analytics, modeling and machine learning. Responsibilities
~1 min read? Designs, develops, and implements end-to-end cloud-based machine learning production pipelines (data exploration, sampling, training data generation, feature engineering, model building, and performance evaluation)
? Ensures that data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, secure, provide insights into customer acquisition, and can serve multiple users within the company
? Collects, parses, manages, analyzes, and visualizes large sets of data using multiple platforms
? Codes, tests, and documents new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for data analytics
? Implements security and recovery tools and techniques as required
? Ensures all automated processes preserve data by managing the alignment of data availability and integration processes
? Develops standards and processes for integration projects and initiatives
Requirements
~1 min read? Master’s or PhD Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
? 5+ years of experience in industry data science (e.g., machine learning, predictive maintenance)
? Practical knowledge across data extraction and transformation tools
? Nice to have: Deep understanding of furniture industry trends and customer needs
? Nice to have: Affiliate platform or marketplace experience
? Clear hands-on mastery in big database systems - Hadoop ecosystem, Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google), in-memory database systems (HANA, Hazel cast, etc) and other database systems - traditional RDBMS (Terradata, SQL Server, Oracle), and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
? Comfortable in dashboard development (Tableau, Powerbi, Qlik, etc) and in developing data analytics models (R, Python)
? Flexible and quick learner able to adapt to a constantly changing digital environment
? Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
? Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them
? Proactive, strong attention to detail and capable of streamlining and improving processes and troubleshooting
