Plumber

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or department supervisor, the Plumber provides professional plumbing services and facility support to ensure safe and reliable operations throughout Finger Lakes Health facilities.

• →Perform plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation work
• →Provide support for facility operations and building systems
• →Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing-related issues
• →Follow safety procedures, policies, and established standards
• →Maintain professional and courteous interactions with staff, patients, and visitors
• →Complete work assignments efficiently while maintaining quality standards

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid New York State Driver’s License with driving record consistent with Finger Lakes Health policy

• EPA Certified in Refrigerant Recovery
• Journeyman or Master Plumber Certification
• Medical Gas Certification
• 1st Class or 2nd Class Boiler Operator (Stationary Engineer)

• Minimum: 1–2 years of building operations and maintenance experience with professional certification
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a professional trade setting

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
