Firmo Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead dual ground-up hotel projects in Brownsville, TX - home to SpaceX's Starbase and a rapidly growing area. This is a high-visibility role for a driven field leader who takes ownership of the jobsite from dirt to ribbon-cutting.

What You'll Do

As an integral member of our Construction team, the Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site management of dual ground-up hotel construction projects from inception to completion. 

• Own the jobsite. Lead all daily field operations across both projects, from pre-construction through closeout. 
• Lead your trade partners. Coordinate, monitor, and inspect all subcontractor and supplier activity to keep work on schedule and on spec.
• Drive quality. Maintain command of all project documents and ensure every trade partner is working from current, complete drawings.
• Enforce safety, always. Lead weekly toolbox talks, enforce OSHA standards, and maintain a clean, compliant jobsite at all times.
• Stay connected. Lead weekly jobsite meetings, upload daily logs and progress photos to Procore, and keep all stakeholders informed.
• Partner with your PM. Collaborate closely with project management from pre-construction through punch list completion and final closeout.
• Manage inspections. Coordinate all building inspections and permit processes without letting them become schedule liabilities.
• Solve problems early. Identify and resolve field issues before they hit the schedule or budget, maintaining professionalism along the way.
• Keep growing. Actively pursue opportunities, training, technology, or otherwise, that make you and the team sharper.

What We're Looking For

• Proven Ground-up Hotel Superintendent, 10+ years commercial construction experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or jobsites without losing control of quality or schedule.
• Proficient in Procore construction management software.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, project documents, and specifications confidently.
• OSHA 30 certified (willing to complete upon hire); CPR certification required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and calm under pressure.

Schedule

Standard hours are Monday throughFriday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Extended hours and occasional weekends may be required based on project demands. Flexibility to meet deadlines and support project needs is expected - and respected.
