About the Role
~1 min readThe Manager, Loan Processing oversees daily operations across all processing functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. They lead, coach and develop the loan processing team, while maintaining up-to-date policies, procedures and documentation. This role serves as the primary escalation point for complex issues, cross departmental inquiries and workflow challenges. They collaborate with internal stakeholders to enable seamless loan origination to servicing transition, support and contribute to strategic initiatives, system enhancements and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and develop the Loan Processing team, through coaching, performance management, and ongoing training to ensure accuracy, efficiency, career growth and team engagement.
- →Oversee daily operational workflow across all loan processing activities, including due diligence collection, document preparation, and disclosures, ensuring SLA adherence and quality standards.
- →Ensure compliance with all applicable banking and lending regulations, partnering with Compliance and Risk to update procedures and support audits and examinations.
- →Maintain and oversee department policies, procedures, and job aids, ensuring documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and consistently followed.
- →Serve as primary escalation point for complex processing issues, pipeline constraints, system challenges, and cross-functional dependencies.
- →Partner with internal stakeholders, such as lending, credit, compliance, operations, and finance to ensure smooth end‑to‑end loan lifecycle support.
- →Lead or support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, including process optimization, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- 5–7 years of loan processing or loan operations experience.
- 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation, disclosures, and due diligence.
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing workflows, SLAs, and operational performance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
