Head of Product

Floodbase’s AI platform is changing the way businesses and communities across the globe adapt to increasing flood risk. We enable re/insurers to offer first-of-their-kind parametric flood insurance products. Most recently, we launched our next-generation U.S. flood event mapping product, developed in support of FEMA, and recently featured on the front page of the New York Times.

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Product to spearhead the next development phase of our platform. In this instrumental role, you will define and execute the holistic product strategy and roadmap — from the foundational data platform and APIs to the final-mile applications and analytics outputs. You'll drive cohesion, ensuring all components work together seamlessly to deliver maximum customer value and long-term business growth. This is a high visibility role, reporting to the Chief Product & Strategy Officer.

• →Shape a unified product strategy & roadmaps: Define and manage our portfolio roadmap (AI platform, app, and analytics) that maximizes market opportunities, accelerates our industry-leading product offerings, and maintains technological advantage.
  
  
• →Lead cross-functional alignment: Serve as the focal point between all functions across the Technology and Commercial teams to ensure priorities, resource allocation, and execution are fully aligned with the overall portfolio roadmap.
  
  
• →Drive platform scalability and interoperability: Ensure our platform is robust, reliable, and provides seamless outputs that meet performance metrics and enable rapid delivery of insurance products, client-facing apps, analytics, and new product lines.
  
  
• →Optimize client deliveries: Oversee the successful delivery and continuous improvement across all client contracts to identify client needs, new feature opportunities, and ultimately ensure our products offer maximum partner and client value.
  
  
• →Build & mentor a high-performing team: Be a product evangelist across the organization, manage and mentor Product Managers, and lead future hires of a world-class Product Management team, motivated and capable of executing on our roadmap.
  
  

• 6+ years of product leadership experience with a focus on building enterprise software and/or data platforms 
• Track record in defining, executing and refining product roadmaps for businesses with demonstrated commercial success 
• Experience developing deep tech and/or data-intensive products – including forming and testing new ideas and acquiring market and customer feedback
• Strong ability to context switch between big picture and small details – comfortable rolling up your sleeves if a project requires 
• Experienced leader with a successful track record in hiring, overseeing, and developing teams of at least 3-5 reports
• Experience at a high-growth B2B Data Platform, InsurTech, FinTech, or Data Analytics companies is preferred
• Passion for climate-tech and commercializing climate adaptation solutions

Floodbase offers competitive salaries with regular reviews and adjustments based on performance and industry standards. The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience, with an expected range of $160,000 - $190,000. Additionally, this individual will receive equity compensation and a competitive benefits package.
