About the Role
~3 min readWe're looking for a modeler who builds tools as readily as they build models. This role is half production modeling, half agentic workflow development. You'll own Flow's catalog of BIM and CAD files across buildings, furniture, and interior layouts, and simultaneously build the software systems and AI workflows that allow that catalog to scale without scaling headcount.
Right now, our system model skews from physical reality. These gaps matter because decisions, work orders, and agent reasoning across the company depend on model correctness. You'll work closely with property onboarding teams and property managers to close that gap and keep models in sync as our portfolio grows.
This isn't a role for someone who has thought about why AI doesn't work for modeling. It's for someone who has tried it anyway, hit walls, tried ten more times, and figured something out. Dogged persistence with agents is the signal we're hiring on. The specific BIM/CAD tool matters less than demonstrated mastery of at least one and a genuine track record of pushing what's possible with AI.
We believe our team is better together. Every position at Flow has an onsite or in-office requirement.
Maintain and grow a catalog of BIM and CAD models spanning buildings, furniture, and interior layouts
Keep system models in sync with physical reality as buildings are onboarded, renovated, and reconfigured — coordinating with architects, property managers and onboarding teams to capture changes on the ground
Curate models for ML pipelines, keeping data clean, structured, and correctly attributed
Design and build the agentic systems, agent skills, and software workflows that allow modeling work to run with light supervision
Develop standards and observability tools so model quality can be verified programatically by agents
Own the R&D roadmap for modeling efficiency: identify bottlenecks, experiment with new methods, and ship improvements
Train team members on agentic BIM/CAD workflows and document standards so institutional knowledge is durable
A modeler with command of parametric modeling, design-for-manufacturing, detailing, and dimensioning — with at least 2–5 years in a professional architecture or product design organization
Academic background in architecture, mechanical engineering, or product design
Proficient in at least one of Revit, Rhino, or Onshape
Hands-on experience using AI agents to manipulate or generate CAD/BIM models.
Proficient in at least one scripting language: Python, TypeScript, or RhinoScript
Familiar with PLM, document management, and revision control processes
A strong communicator who can work fluidly across architecture, engineering, and operations teams
Experience with data pipelines or ML data preparation workflows
Software development experience
Prior experience in a lean or early-stage environment
