Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support and manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong bookkeeping experience, solid Excel skills, and an understanding of (or interest in) the timber and natural resource industry.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Track and categorize costs by project, business unit, and department
- Process bi-monthly timber sale reporting, deposits, and payments
- Assist in preparing internal financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow reporting and project summaries
- Process multi-state payroll and support related compliance and reporting requirements
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready financial records
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities
- Support the Accounting Manager with tax preparation and year-end reporting
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field and/or 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in timber, forestry, or natural resources industries
- Understanding of job costing or project-based accounting
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of advanced experience and professional certifications

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $22–$27/hour ($45,000–$55,000 annually), depending on experience
