The Manager, People Relations serves as a central leader within the HR function, responsible for ensuring consistent, compliant, and people-centered HR practices across the organization. The role provides oversight of employee relations, ADA accommodations, employee experience, HR compliance, and policy governance, while ensuring HR policies and company guidelines are followed, documented, scalable and remain aligned to our culture across a remote/hybrid, multi‑state workforce.   The role partners closely with all areas of HR, as well as Risk, First Line of Defense, Legal, and Accounting, to design, implement, and sustain people programs and projects that support business objectives and employee needs. In addition, the Manager, People Relations leads a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, development, strategic direction, and operational oversight across employee relations, employee experience, and HR operations. The role is accountable for fostering a high-performing team, building organizational capability, and ensuring seamless execution of key HR programs and services.

  • Employee Relations Leadership
    • Oversee and support the Employee Relations Program, ensuring consistent, fair, and timely case management.
    • Provide high‑level guidance on complex employee relations matters; partner with Legal and HR leadership to assess risk and support investigations.
    • Serve as an escalation point for sensitive employee concerns, ensuring issues are addressed with fairness, discretion, and a focus on employee experience.
    • Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
    • Coach leaders to ensure fair, consistent, and culturally aligned decision‑making, partnering with L&D to develop, deliver, and reinforce training programs that build manager capability and support consistent application of HR policies and practices.
    • Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to improve employee experience and reduce risk.
    • In collaboration with Benefits, manage the full interactive process for ADA and other accommodation requests, and return-to-work, oversight.  Partner with employees, managers, and Legal to ensure timely, compliant, and empathetic outcomes. Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to federal and state requirements.
  • Policy & Procedure Oversight
    • Lead the development and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and operational consistency.
    • Own and manage the employee handbook, including review cycles, updates, stakeholder alignment, and organization‑wide communication.
    • Develop and maintain HR compliance procedures, controls, and documentation to support risk mitigation and regulatory adherence.
    • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Risk, FLOD, and Audit partners to maintain a strong control environment and ensure audit readiness; support audits as needed.
    • Develop and execute awareness and engagement plans to ensure managers and employees understand HR policies and expectations.
    • Ensure HR policies, handbooks, and internal procedures are compliant and consistently applied across a remote/hybrid, multi‑state workforce, reflecting both legal requirements and cultural expectations.
  • Employee Experience
    • Oversee HR's involvement in company-wide engagement initiatives and events, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cultural priorities, and organizational values.  Lead the development and execution of programs that strengthen culture, recognition, and employee connection.
    • Serve as a strategic partner to leaders by identifying opportunities to enhance employee experience through effective communication, innovative practices, and inclusive experiences.
    • Ensure a cohesive employee experience across a distributed workforce, aligning culture, communication, and practices for remote, hybrid, and multi‑state employees.
    • Oversee and maintain guidelines for flexible work arrangements, ensuring alignment with performance expectations, cultural standards, and multi‑state regulatory requirements for remote and hybrid employees.
    • Safeguard practices to promote fairness, belonging, and cultural alignment; identify opportunities to enhance engagement.
    • Oversee the Employee Assistance process and coordinate timely, consistent responses during employee crisis situations.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to HR team.
    • Establish clear performance expectations, support professional development, and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence.
    • Ensure internal processes and procedures are documented for cross-training, back-up coverage and business continuity.
    • Support and lead HR projects; represent HR to ensure alignment between organizational priorities and HR operational capabilities.
    • Assist with change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new programs and policies.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and execution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required. Field of Study: Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on operations, compliance, and policy management.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal, Risk, and cross-functional teams
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

The estimated salary for this role is $106,391.00 to $127,669.00 annually. (FourLeaf Federal Credit Union offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and disability insurance; voluntary benefit programs; a 401(k) plan with employer match; reimbursement and wellness programs; and an annual performance-based bonus.) In addition to the salary or hourly rate listed above there may be other compensation & benefits available.
