The Commercial Post Closing Representative I assists the commercial team in the delivery of an industry-leading member experience for our commercial members. This includes supporting post-closing functions consistent with loan policies, procedures, and standards of the credit union, and providing guidance to department team members as needed regarding processes and procedures to ensure consistency.
The primary responsibilities of the Commercial Post Closing Representative I role include but are not limited to:
- Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
- Handling post-closing loan functions as they relate to commercial loans
- Checking in loan documents after loan closing for accuracy and completeness
- Storage and retention of files, including physical paper files, scanning and uploading
- Reviewing loan files for quality control
- Disbursing loans in accordance with approvals
- Tracking exceptions: recorded documents, title policies, insurance, financial statements, etc.
- Maintaining commercial loan accounts in the core system, including rate changes, renewals, modifications, payoffs, etc.
- Processing paid loans, including mortgage satisfactions and lien releases as applicable
- Disbursing and tracking construction draws
- Monitoring and reviewing the commercial loan pipeline
- Working with third-party websites as required for beneficial ownership data, tax tracking, etc.
- Maintaining a knowledge of credit union commercial products and services
Candidates for the Commercial Post Closing Representative I position should possess:
- One year of previous financial industry experience is required
- One to three years of commercial loan experience is a plus
- Previous loan servicing experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain solid knowledge of regulations and applicable laws
