STAFF ENGINEER
The Staff Engineer plays a critical role in supporting cross-functional business operations by applying core engineering expertise to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the performance of various Business Divisions, including Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and related operating functions. This position focuses on driving operational excellence through systems design, process optimization, supply chain logistics, maintenance and reliability engineering, and economic analysis.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Staff Engineer acts as a strategic liaison between Business Divisions, Service Departments, and FPC Taiwan—ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and the preparation of analytical reports for executive management. This role supports data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Review sales contracts using engineering economics to perform profitability analyses and suggest pricing or operational improvements to boost profit.
Monitor sales and marketing systems, applying process optimization and systems engineering to recommend improvements in efficiency and consistency.
Provide bilingual technical communication between FPCUSA and Taiwan executives, ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering and business content.
Support production and sales planning, inventory control, internal transfer pricing through engineering tools such as material and energy balances and supply chain modeling.
Evaluate distribution performance using benchmarking data and reliability engineering to promote continuous improvement and align with industry best practices.
Review expense budgets with a focus on engineering economics to ensure cost control and alignment with operational performance.
Coordinate and optimize integrated sales planning and strategy development (e.g., for the Vinyl Chain) using systems design and engineering modeling to align technical capacity with market demand.
Develop FPCUSA’s Annual Income Projection, applying data analysis and engineering-informed financial modeling to support strategic planning and executive decision-making.
Facilitate cross-functional coordination between Business Divisions and Taiwan to improve operational effectiveness and alignment.
Execute special assignments, often involving technical evaluation, process analysis, or strategic problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS
