Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead and oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring the timely execution of shipments, operational reporting, shipment tracking, and customer communications.
- →Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business requirements, delivering tailored logistics solutions, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- →Develop and negotiate competitive transportation solutions with carriers to optimize cost, capacity, and service performance.
- →Manage freight booking activities while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and operational standards.
- →Coordinate shipment pickups, deliveries, and cross-functional logistics activities to ensure efficient and seamless execution across the supply chain.
- →Monitor shipment performance, proactively identify potential disruptions, and implement effective corrective actions to minimize operational risks and service interruptions.
- →Oversee the accuracy and integrity of transportation management systems, customer records, and operational data to support reporting and informed business decisions.
- →Provide clients with strategic guidance on transportation planning, supply chain optimization, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- →Lead, coach, and develop team members by fostering a high-performance culture through regular feedback, training, and performance management.
- →Partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, and achieve organizational objectives.
- →Analyze operational KPIs and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities, implement process enhancements, and drive continuous operational excellence.
- →Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations, company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices while maintaining high operational and service standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated supervisory or management experience of 2 years or more.
- Strong knowledge of international transportation, including ocean freight, trucking, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build productive relationships with customers, carriers, and business partners.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, optimize operational performance, and achieve business objectives.
