About the Role
~1 min readSchumacher & Co is seeking a highly analytical Plant Controller to lead all financial and operational reporting for our Paramount Prints division. In this leadership role, you will act as the financial anchor of our manufacturing facility, bridging the gap between factory floor reality and corporate finance. You will own the full financial lifecycle—including the accuracy of inventory, the resolution of RNV (Receipts Not Vouchered) discrepancies, and the management of all capital expenditure projects for the division. You will manage the AR/AP associate and serve as the primary strategic partner to the Director of Production Planning.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Operational Partnership: Serve as the financial business partner to the Director of Production Planning. Provide actionable insights on production throughput, labor utilization, and efficiency KPIs.
- →Divisional Accounting & Reporting: Own the full-cycle month-end close for the division. Ensure all financial statements are GAAP-compliant and provide detailed variance analysis on standard costs and manufacturing efficiency.
- →Inventory & RNV Stewardship: Own the financial integrity of inventory. Lead regular cycle count reconciliations, manage the valuation of raw materials and finished goods, and actively resolve RNV (Receipts Not Vouchered) issues to ensure the P&L accurately reflects operational costs.
- →Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the AR/AP associate. Streamline workflows to ensure timely transactional processing and strong internal controls over cash and liabilities.
- →CapEx Management: Own the full lifecycle of Paramount Prints’ capital expenditure projects. From initial budgeting and AFE tracking to final asset realization and post-completion ROI audits, you will ensure every dollar invested in the facility is accounted for.
- →Process Transformation: Modernize manufacturing finance workflows by strengthening controls, automating manual reconciliations, and giving management real-time visibility into production performance. Lead technology integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience: 7–10+ years in manufacturing finance. Proven experience managing direct reports and working with inventory/RNV processes.
- Operational Rigor: Deep expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, and the reconciliation of goods receipts.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead both transactional staff (AR/AP) and strategic operations.
- Systems Expertise: High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is mandatory; you must be able to audit and troubleshoot financial discrepancies within the system.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to influence operational decisions through data and financial storytelling.
