Schumacher & Co., also known as FSCO, is the parent company to many brands within our portfolio. This role is part of Schumacher North America, which is the largest division of the company.
About the Role
~1 min read- Own day-to-day purchasing execution and assigned vendor relationships, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
- Manage the full Purchase Order lifecycle, including PO creation, tracking, consolidation, and optimization for cost-effective shipping.
- Monitor order progress and proactively address risks to timelines, cost, or service levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Communicate production requirements, lead times, and service expectations clearly and consistently.
- Own price discussions and commercial negotiations in partnership with procurement leadership.
- Track vendor performance KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze forecast and demand data to support alignment between supply and demand.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across vendor management and purchasing processes.
- Collaborate closely with sales, planning, warehouse, finance, and procurement operations teams.
- Support finance with invoice validation, discrepancies, and vendor statement reconciliation.
- Respond to sales inquiries regarding availability, lead times, and order status.
This is a hybrid role, based onsite three days per week at our NYC Corporate Headquarters.
Requirements

- 3-4 years of experience in the textile, wallpaper, leather, home goods or fashion industry,
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to build partnership with vendors while being hungry to drive best outcome for company,
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills,
- Self-starter with proactive approach to problem-solving,
- Enjoying process improvement and changes – always on the look-out to do things better,
- Exceptional analytical skills for complex rational and interpersonal challenges,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Highly collaborative and fun to work with.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration, or a related field (Ideally Preferred).
