THIS IS A 4 DAY WORK WEEK - 5AM - 3PM, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Materials Handler I is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring proper material handling throughout the facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, ERP transaction accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Maintain shipping and receiving processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely material transactions.
- Manage warehouse storage activities, ensuring proper identification, organization, and storage of all materials.
- Maintain inventory control processes to ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability.
- Coordinate the transfer of products to and from third-party value-added manufacturers, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
- Follow established procedures for handling and disposition of scrap materials.
- Process and maintain all inventory control and warehouse transactions within the company's ERP system.
- Complete all quantity moves within one hour of material picking, in accordance with work instructions.
- Ensure material request forms are received from Team Leads or Operators before issuing materials to support accurate inventory transactions.
- Escalate quantity-move discrepancies, inventory concerns, and material shortages to the Warehouse Lead, Supervisor, and Inventory Control Analyst (ICA) as required.
- Perform daily cycle counts, including:
- Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, material movement, ERP transactions, logistics coordination, and administrative tasks, as needed.
- Communicate with Manager and peers to provide support to meet operational requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and teamwork in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with directly applicable experience.
- Must hold a valid drivers license and pass the DMV background check, if applicable
2+ years of Materials or Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience and willingness to work in a ‘hands on’ environment.
Ability to
obrain
a Fork lift operator license
Knowledge of purchasing, logistics, inventory control and shipping/receiving a must.
Must be good with numbers and capable of writing legibly.
Team-oriented.
Experience utilizing ERP systems is a must.
Work environment (include physical requirements)
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must regularly lift and move up to 30

Hearing, respiratory and eye protection MAY BE required.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
