About The Role:
The Operations Maintenance Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating Manufacturing Work Systems, Reliability, and Operational Support for the Power & Recovery Department including facilitating the maintenance activities required for maintaining and ensuring reliability-at the lowest cost-in the Power & Recovery Department.
The P&R Operations Maintenance Coordinator will facilitate review of work notifications/orders (new and backlog) and prioritization of planning & scheduling maintenance activities to support reliable process operation.
The Operations Maintenance Coordinator is also a key role in coordinating & safely executing outage maintenance tasks-including quarterly Preventative Maintenance Outages (PMOs), water wash PMOs and major outages.
This position will work closely with the Power & Recovery Area Leaders and FLLs to ensure operational and maintenance activities are scheduled, coordinated, and executed to drive safety, process reliability, and Key Performance Indicator trends.
Managing in a goal-oriented systematic environment to deliver target results in the areas of safety, reliability, cost, quality, productivity, and employee engagement is also a requirement.
This role plays a major part in setting expectations and holding teams and individuals accountable for results in a manner consistent with GCF Core Values and Franklin’s Guiding Principles and ensuring full implementation and adherence to GMS elements.
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Safety Leadership Certification preferred
High School diploma with minimum of 2 years of experience working in Pulp and Paper manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science or related field is preferred
Proven leadership ability in guiding a team in meeting its business objectives
Strong technical knowledge related to manufacturing processes with excellent communication skills
Ability to manage and/or lead projects and teams of people. Active participation in safety, problem solving and other committee/team activities
