This role is for someone who enjoys talking to people, can make good judgment calls, and understands the importance of hiring the right people.

A strong candidate will be comfortable making phone calls, conducting interviews, spotting red flags, and keeping candidates moving through the hiring process. This person should be able to stay calm when staffing needs become urgent and adjust quickly when priorities change.

This is a great fit for someone with experience in recruiting, security, law enforcement, military service, staffing, HR, or hiring for a service-based business.

This is probably not the right role for someone who:

  • Wants a slow, highly predictable admin job
  • Avoids phone calls or direct conversations
  • Struggles with follow-up
  • Gets thrown off by changing priorities
  • Needs constant reminders to move candidates forward
  • Is uncomfortable making judgment calls about people
  • Treats recruiting as paperwork instead of a major business function
