GD Energy Products is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to work in either Fort Worth, TX or Tulsa, OK.

Job Summary:
The Supplier Quality Engineer will manage the raw material supplier quality processes and relationships to ensure materials, parts, and services meet the highest standards that GD Energy Products is known for in the oil and gas industry.  This position will interact with internal and external teams to improve the supplier performance, investigate and resolve defects, and drive continuous improvement in the quality process.  

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and approve new suppliers.  Conduct audits of supplier processes to ensure compliance to all quality and regulatory requirements. 
• Owns the vendor performance metrics.  Identifies gaps, performs root cause investigations, and drives effective corrective actions. 
• Applies statistical process control (SPC) & six sigma tools to identify trends and improve manufacturing efficiency. 
• Partners with Marketing, Procurement, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to address supplier focused opportunities. 
• Supports new product development.
• Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
• Support and maintain the requirements related to keeping the site ISO 9001:2015 certified.
• Comfortable with an expected travel schedule up to 50%. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s production processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
• Six Sigma Certification preferred.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Measuring Devices and Calibration Requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Internal Auditor certification is strongly preferred.
• SAP experience is strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• Three to five years of related experience required.
