As an Experienced FX/Forex Trader for Gelber Coöperatief in our Amsterdam office, you will have an opportunity to play a critical role as we expand our footprint throughout Europe. You will be joining a small and successful office with over a decade of experience in a variety of asset classes and a wide range of trading styles. You will work with talented individuals to capitalize on the market and build out a growing trading office.  This role is for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, a competitive attitude, and a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least two years.

This position will sit in Gelber’s Amsterdam office working to either drive your own unique strategy or as a member of an existing trading desk, executing proprietary trading strategies, and conducting data analysis to improve performance. We’re looking for both proven independent traders and proven trading teams who are seeking a platform and resources to amplify their success. • →Manage your own trading book with a focus on FX products
• →Collaborate across your trading desk to execute the team’s goals while ensuring core risk standards are met
• →Analyze market trends, order flow, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities
• →Continuously monitor macroeconomic events, central bank policy shifts, and geopolitical developments to identify opportunities
• →Monitor material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, especially focused around deviation from your plans, and proactively communicate those changes to leadership
• →Grow your own business through mentorships

• Proven track record of profitability in FX markets for at least two years in a risk-taking role
• Entrepreneurial mindset and competitive nature
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn, understand, and apply new concepts quickly
• Proven self-starter with exceptional product knowledge, trading methodology, and market insight
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required and other languages are always welcome
• Ability to manage and communicate risk in accordance with the policies and limits set forth by the Firm
• Proficiency with trading platforms, execution tactics, and market data analysis tools
• Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt your trading style with changes in market conditions
• Strong work ethic, and understanding that the more you put into your craft, the more you’ll get out of it
