Associate Scientist, Molecular Biology Gene R&D

Genscript is seeking an Associate Scientist, Molecular Biology for our Production team in Piscataway, NJ. 

The estimated salary range is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience. 

• Conduct molecular biology experiments to support internal R&D projects.
• Conduct molecular cloning, large-scale plasmid preparations, and plasmid QC to support DNA production workflows. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and timelines.
• Analyze experimental data, document results, and maintain accurate records in accordance with company standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in production protocols and propose effective solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance workflow efficiency and product quality.

• Bachelor's (with >3 years of industry experience) or Master’s degree (with >1 year of industry experience) in Life Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field). 
• Deep bench experience in molecular cloning, and/or bacterial genetics, and/or NGS. 
• (NGS) data analysis, extracting data using scripts from large databases, and liquid-handling automation experience is a plus. 
• Value teamwork and motivated to contribute to the team’s goals. 
• Hands-on experience in a laboratory or production setting is a plus.
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new techniques and protocols.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
• Having a desire to learn and being highly detail oriented.
• Location Requirement: Must be able to work on-site in Piscataway, NJ.
