GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Coordinator-Towed Array!

 

Reporting to the Manager of Sonar Production Integration, the Manufacturing Coordinator-Towed Array
plays a key role in the assembly and testing of towed array modules. The coordinator is responsible for assisting the department manager with product build planning and implementation for TRAPS, Hydrus and prototype array modules and related assemblies (VIMs, repeaters). They will also partner with department leadership to improve employee engagement and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership: Own Build Management (BM) activities to ensure on-time delivery of work packages, coordination of resources, resolution of process/quality/safety issues and producing documentary evidence for QA/QC acceptance
  • Mentorship: Coach TA resources with supportive problem-solving and technical guidance to improve their performance and self-sufficiency
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the technical expert for the TA team with respect to build activities including the identification of required tools, equipment, space and resources necessary for successful execution
  • Collaboration: Work within and outside the Manufacturing team to address quality deficiencies, plan, and implement changes to machinery and/or equipment, production systems, build documentation and work methodology
  • Communication:Connect with Manufacturing, Engineering, Project and Program teams to achieve and maintain alignment and priorities
  • Quality Assurance: Confirm adherence to best practices, standards, and compliance requirements including configuration capture activities required by customers and Programs
  • Continuous Improvement: Support and encourage improvement activities within the TA team to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by supporting 5S practices and partnering with the JOHSC


Qualifications

  • Formal engineering/technical education or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Previous leadership experience and/or training
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving and supporting team members
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal stakeholders
  • Previous experience in product build planning
  • Previous experience in leading and executing test activities
  • Previous experience in building towed array modules is not necessary but is considered an asset

 

Security Requirements
