Geotab is seeking an Associate Vice President, EMEA Sales, who will play a critical leadership role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and achieving strategic business objectives across assigned sales channels. Associate Vice President, EMEA Sales is responsible for the strategic direction, operational execution, and performance management of the Services & People Transportation sales organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals. The AVP provides proactive leadership to regional channel and segment sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with the Vice President, Sales to design and implement comprehensive business plans aimed at achieving aggressive growth and development targets for the assigned sales channel/segment.

  • Identify new areas for market expansion, and propose strategic programs and initiatives to accelerate growth and strengthen key partner and customer relationships.

  • Support Geotab's global strategic initiatives by ensuring alignment between regional sales/segment activities and overarching corporate objectives.

  • Prepare detailed business cases and financial models to assess and improve the profitability, scalability, and sustainability of the assigned sales channel/segment.

  • Provide input into competitive positioning, go-to-market strategies, and market expansion plans based on deep analysis of industry trends, competitor insights, and customer needs.

  • Oversee the daily operations, performance, and development of the sales team, ensuring all team members are aligned with business goals and held accountable for meeting key performance areas (KPAs).

  • Provide expert leadership and act as a subject matter expert (SME) to guide the team in delivering compelling value propositions around the Geotab solution, data packages, and Marketplace partners.

  • Deliver ongoing coaching, mentorship, and direction to direct reports to drive continuous performance improvement, enhance skills, and cultivate future leadership within the team.

  • Identify individual and team development needs and create structured learning opportunities, feedback mechanisms, and career development plans to build a high-performing, engaged sales team.

  • Support performance management processes by collaborating with HR and senior leadership to conduct evaluations, set goals, and ensure professional growth opportunities.

  • Partner with the marketing team to design and implement specific marketing campaigns and initiatives that promote brand awareness, generate leads, and drive demand for Geotab offerings.

  • Attend and represent Geotab at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility, increase market credibility, and identify new business opportunities.

  • Lead initiatives that align sales and marketing strategies to deliver unified messaging and positioning to customers and partners.

  • Serve as a key liaison between the sales team and internal stakeholders—including product, marketing, operations, and customer success teams—to ensure alignment of goals and execution.

  • Establish structured processes to gather and relay product feedback, customer enhancement requests, and market-driven insights to product management and development teams.

  • Manage and resolve high-level customer or reseller escalations, applying a solution-oriented approach to safeguard customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

  • Proactively identify systemic challenges in sales or partner interactions and lead cross-functional initiatives to implement corrective actions and sustainable improvements.

  • 10–12 years of experience in sales, business development leadership or a similar role.

  • 8+ years of leadership experience. 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Deep understanding of sales strategies and the full sales cycle, with a proven ability to build scalable frameworks that drive long-term revenue growth.

  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing sales teams, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional development across a geographically dispersed workforce.

  • Proficient in leveraging sales performance data, forecasting models, and KPIs to guide decision-making and continuously optimize sales effectiveness.

  • Strong ability to understand customer needs and translate them into tailored sales solutions that deliver value, loyalty, and long-term retention.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, negotiate effectively, and present compelling business cases to executive leadership.

  • Skilled in resolving complex sales, partner, or customer challenges through thoughtful analysis, creative solutions, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Adept at working across departments (e.g., product, marketing, customer success) to align strategies, share insights, and coordinate seamless execution.

  • Proven experience in navigating and leading teams through change, including business transformation, organizational scaling, or shifts in go-to-market approach.

  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply insights to shape sales strategy and business development.

  • Ability to manage budgets, interpret financial data, and evaluate commercial opportunities with a strong grasp of pricing strategy, revenue recognition, and profitability levers.

  • Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), sales enablement tools, and business intelligence platforms, with solid proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 30–40% travel required; must hold a valid passport.
