Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Business Analyst Intern, your key area of responsibility will be collaborating with the EMEA Segment team to develop data-driven reports and conduct in-depth market research. Your day-to-day will include: extracting and cleaning data from complex sources like BigQuery, building actionable dashboards, and providing capacity support to the Solutions Engineering team on high-value projects.
To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive problem-solver who can leverage emerging technologies—including Generative AI and agentic workflows—to uncover commercial insights. You will need to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and precision.

- Your first week at Geotab begins with 'GEO Launch' - a one-week Employee Orientation.
- Develop and maintain routine and ad-hoc reports using SQL and BigQuery.
- Create dashboards in Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to track KPIs like pipeline and MRR.
- Conduct market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM) and monitor competitor trends and regulations in the EMEA region.
- Assist in leveraging AI/ML tools to enhance reporting accuracy and automate manual processes.
- Provide dedicated analytical overflow support for the Solutions Engineering team.
- Prepare documentation and presentations that translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
- Pursuing a Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong skills in SQL (BigQuery preferred) and experience with BI tools (Apache Superset, Tableau, or Power BI).
- Familiarity with market sizing concepts and the ability to conduct thorough competitor research.
- A strong willingness or demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML and Generative AI in a business context.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- High proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Excel.
