Responsibilities
~1 min readIn this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans to reach specified targets (from brand awareness to product and system promotion), as well as managing the onboarding of partners globally. You will apply your specialized marketing expertise directly to our Marketplace activities to help scale our global ecosystem.

Brainstorm and develop ideas for internal or external marketing activities by leveraging knowledge and expertise in content development and optimization, advertising, and events planning.

Liaise with Resellers, Partners, and internal staff to execute targeted promotional events and campaigns.

Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (e.g. social media, e-mail).

Manage the Marketplace marketing onboarding process globally for new Marketplace Partners from start to finish.

Present the onboarding requirements and be available to answer questions and provide recommendations and content writing support throughout the onboarding process.

Review submitted marketing materials to assess the content and design quality, providing feedback and edits to help them improve when necessary.

Guide Partners to create their solution page in the Partner Portal, assisting them with writing and editing their content to ensure a quality product page.

Upload and maintain Partner marketing documentation on sales.geotab.com (MASH).

Evolve and enhance the Marketing strategy for Geotab’s Marketplace.

Track Partner progress in JIRA and in the Onboarding Checklist, providing recommendations and status updates for external Partners and internal Geotabbers.

Maintain a working relationship with all Marketplace Partners post-launch, helping them update documents and improve marketing materials when needed.

Update and Maintain Oakville Marketplace room by showcasing Order Now Partners.

Create and maintain a repository to track MP partner and reseller partnership collaborations.

Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.

Identify opportunities to innovate and create better, creative marketing campaigns.

Remain current on the latest trends and best practices for Marketing.

Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

3-5 years of experience as a Marketing Specialist or a similar role.

Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.

Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted

Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools.

Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.

Thorough understanding of marketing elements (i.e. traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media) and market research methods.

Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.

Creative mindset.

Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.

Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.

A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.

Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.

Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.

A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
