We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Northern Australia Power Team. In this rewarding Darwin-based role you would have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across Power Delivery, Industrial Power and Power Generation. Bring your passion, curiosity and energy and help us deliver outstanding work for our Government and Private Sector clients.

• Deliver technical expertise to clients and senior colleagues, while contributing to projects across multiple regions.
• Perform general electrical engineering tasks (design calculations, data analysis, using software to undertake engineering design).
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Develop and/or verify the technical scope of projects.
• Undertake technical design and documentation of power (generation T&D and renewables) and industrial projects.
• Lead technical delivery, coordinating a team on more complex design options.
• Development of tender responses and provision of job delivery management.
• Experience and contribution to Business Development, identifying new services to existing and new Clients. Proposal preparation and winning work.
• Contribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in Power Engineering including planning, design, construction and operation.

• →Formal qualifications in electrical engineering (BEng or equivalent acceptable to Engineers Australia).
• →8 to 10+ years' experience in the design and delivery of power projects (e.g., power stations, zone substations, underground and overhead reticulation), including renewables (solar, wind, PHES, BESS) and industrial projects (water treatment, wastewater pumping and treatment). Ideally also experienced in Design Management.
• →Skilled in liaising with utilities providers.
• →Experience and a Strong understanding of current power engineering technologies, including installation, operation, and configuration methods.
• →Co-ordination of plant and plant services electrical works - design and experience with site supervision is desirable.
• →Experience with technical supervision and mentoring less experienced team members.
