This position offers a unique blend of technical leadership, mentoring and client engagement within a globally connected and well-established consultancy.
- Provide technical leadership, oversight, and governance to the Structural Engineering team, including review, certification, and sign-off of structural designs.
- Take full ownership of structural design outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant Fiji, NZ, AU, and international standards.
- Lead and deliver structural engineering projects across Fiji and New Zealand, with opportunities to support work in Australia and other regions.
- Act as Technical Lead where required, ensuring high technical quality, programme delivery, and commercial performance.
- Mentor and support structural engineers and designers, building strong technical capability within the team.
- Collaborate closely with the Country Manager and NZPac Structures Business Group Leader to grow the Structures discipline and support the broader business strategy.
- Contribute to business development activities, including client engagement, proposal input, and technical leadership in work winning.
- Leverage regional connections across Australia and New Zealand, sharing expertise and strengthening cross-border delivery capability.
- A relevant university degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) with the ability to independently review and sign off structural designs.
- Strong technical background in structural engineering, with deep experience providing guidance, assurance, and governance to engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering and overseeing projects in Fiji (New Zealand and/or Australia experience highly regarded).
- Demonstrated capability in technical decision-making, taking ownership of complex designs and engineering outcomes.
- A collaborative leader with a strong commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Commercially astute, with experience supporting business development, client relationships, and growth of a technical discipline.
- Confident communicator, able to engage clients, internal stakeholders, and regulators with credibility and clarity.
