The Role

The Transaction Manager (DCM) is responsible for supporting the onboarding and ongoing administration of Debt Capital Markets transactions within the DCM team. This role will manage a portfolio of transactions (where GLAS are Agent and Trustee) and act as a key point of contact for counterparties, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality client service.
Transaction type includes Reg S/144a Bonds, AMTNs, US Private Placement bonds, Escrows. The Transaction Manager will work collaboratively within the team and contribute to maintaining strong operational standards across all activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing and prioritising daily workload to meet deadlines across multiple transactions.
- Reviewing transaction documentation and supporting deal onboarding processes.
- Inputting and maintaining accurate transaction data within internal systems.
- Developing an understanding of deal documentation across relevant jurisdictions.
- Responding to client and counterparty queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitoring transactions for potential risks and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Assessing amendment, waiver, and modification requests.
- Review of covenant compliance and identifying potential breaches or events of default.
- Contributing to process improvements and supporting team initiatives.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders including law firms.
- Ensuring all activities align with company values and deliver a high standard of client service.
Candidate Profile
- Degree educated, preferably in Finance, Law or a related discipline.
- Experience in Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Trust, or a similar environment.
- Understanding of Trustee and Agency functions.
- Familiarity with DCM structures and transaction documentation.
- Knowledge of clearing systems such as Austraclear, Euroclear, Clearstream and DTC.
- Knowledge of note/bond management systems such as TranStar.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to work.
