About Glean:
Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.
At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.
Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Bloomberg’s AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner’s Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we’re helping the world’s largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.
If you’re excited to shape how the world works, you’ll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You’ll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced International Accounting Manager to lead the statutory accounting, statutory ledger, audit, and compliance responsibilities across Glean’s international subsidiaries, with a primary focus on India as our largest and most complex international entity. This role will own the integrity of local books, support timely and accurate statutory reporting, coordinate audits and filings, and partner closely with Tax, Accounting Operations, Finance Systems, Legal, and external advisors to build scalable and compliant international accounting processes.
This is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong technical accounting judgment with operational rigor and the ability to drive execution across multiple jurisdictions in a fast-growing environment.
You will:
- Statutory Ledgers and Local Books
- Own and manage statutory ledgers and local books for international subsidiaries, with the deepest focus on India.
- Ensure books of account are maintained in accordance with applicable local GAAP and statutory requirements while aligning appropriately with group reporting needs.
- Oversee book-specific entries, local GAAP adjustments, and reconciliations between primary and secondary/statutory ledgers.
- Partner with Finance Systems to improve NetSuite multibook design, reporting, and control frameworks for statutory accounting.
- Statutory Audits and Financial Reporting
- Lead annual statutory audits across international entities, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Prepare and review audit-ready schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and statutory financial statements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and advisors to resolve accounting, disclosure, and compliance issues arising during audits.
- Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
- Monitor and manage statutory compliance calendars across international entities, including filings, financial statements, and other local reporting obligations.
- Partner closely with the Tax team on direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing support, tax audits, and local regulatory matters.
- Ensure timely completion of all foreign subsidiaries compliance requirements including statutory books, audit support, and coordination for tax and transfer pricing deliverables.
- Track evolving local accounting and compliance requirements and translate them into actionable process updates.
- Entity Controllership
- Ensure adequate funding for the entities by developing the strategies for receiving the funds for operation and capex spends
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analyses, and intercompany balances for international entities.
- Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and supported by robust documentation and internal controls.
- Support local-to-US GAAP bridge considerations and ensure clean handoff into consolidation.
- Controls, Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness for international accounting processes, including preparation for controls-based audits in India.
- Document SOPs, reconciliation standards, review controls, and close checklists for statutory accounting activities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Tax, Legal, Payroll, Accounting Operations, and external consultants on compliance-heavy and execution-heavy workstreams.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and scale international accounting operations as new entities are added.
About you:
- Chartered Accountant required; additional accounting or finance qualifications are a plus.
- 6–9+ years of progressive experience in accounting, statutory reporting, audit, and compliance, preferably in multinational or high-growth environments.
- Strong hands-on experience managing statutory ledgers, statutory audits, and compliance for Foreign subsidiaries
- Experience supporting multiple international subsidiaries and working across local GAAP and group reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of managing external auditors, compliance calendars, and complex reconciliations with minimal supervision.
- Experience with controls-based audits / IFC readiness is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of International statutory accounting (IFRS, US GAAP), financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of accounting for international entities and practical understanding of local GAAP vs US GAAP reporting considerations.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite; multibook or statutory ledger experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large reconciliations, audit schedules, and reporting packs.
