About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a Vice President of Sales to lead our Australia and New Zealand business and build the next phase of growth across the market. This is a critical field leadership role for a proven enterprise sales leader who knows how to scale in fast-moving environments, build high-performing teams, and partner cross-functionally to win with customers.
You will own the ANZ business - driving revenue, leading the team, building executive relationships, and running the market with rigor. We’re looking for someone who is close to the field and close to customers: a leader who can inspect deals, coach teams, raise the bar on execution, and help Glean deepen its presence across one of its most important growth markets.
- Lead the ANZ business and deliver against bookings, pipeline, and growth targets for the market
- Build, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team while raising the bar on execution, accountability, and talent density
- Drive a rigorous operating rhythm around forecasting, pipeline inspection, territory planning, and execution
- Develop strong executive relationships with customers, prospects, and partners across Australia and New Zealand
- Partner closely with marketing, sales development, solutions engineering, customer success, partnerships, finance, people, and recruiting to drive growth in market
- Recruit, hire, and develop exceptional sales leaders and sellers for the region
- Help refine market coverage, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy based on customer demand and market dynamics
- Bring market insight back into the business to inform product feedback, positioning, expansion strategy, and investment choices
- Work effectively with cross-functional and post-sales teams in the region, including in matrixed environments
- Operate as a senior leader within the global sales organization, collaborating closely with peers across other theaters and functional teams
- 12+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, with meaningful experience leading regional businesses and high-performing enterprise teams
- Strong track record of personally leading and scaling a regional sales business, ideally within ANZ
- Deep knowledge of enterprise sales in Australia and New Zealand, with credibility and strong networks in the local market
- Strong forecasting discipline, operational rigor, and ability to drive execution through leaders and individual contributors
- Executive presence and credibility with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated success hiring and developing top sales talent and front-line leaders
- A hands-on leadership style, with comfort being in the field and close to deals
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping build regional structure as the company scales
- Ability to work across functions and influence in a matrixed environment
- Passion for building teams, winning in competitive markets, and partnering cross-functionally to accelerate growth
- Attract, develop, and retain top sales talent by building a high-performing, engaged, and growth-oriented sales organization.
- Experience selling AI, search, knowledge management, productivity, collaboration, or data platform products into enterprise organizations
- Experience building or scaling teams in ANZ at a high-growth SaaS company
- Familiarity with founder-led or high-growth company environments
- This role is Hybrid (4 days a week in our Sydney office)
