GO-HR is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support a variety of HR, recruiting, administrative, and client service functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is interested in continuing to grow within the HR field.

The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with recruiting and sourcing, employee and client file organization, interview scheduling, job description and posting support, HR-related research, document preparation, and basic HR guidance under the direction of senior staff. This position requires professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. This position will start around 25 hours per week, but has the potential to increase to full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Support client recruiting activities under the direction of senior staff, including drafting and posting job descriptions and job postings, creating and sending pre-screen emails, scheduling interviews, coordinating assessments, sourcing candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, internet searches, and other resources, and releasing candidates from consideration.
  • Monitor recruiting sites and active job postings.
  • Assist with HR audits and draft client reports outlining audit findings and recommendations.
  • Provide general HR guidance to clients under the direction of senior staff.
  • Create HR-related documents, templates, guidelines, and resources as directed.
  • Organize, scan, and maintain employee and HR files for clients, both digitally and at client sites.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to support continued improvement in departmental efficiency and services performed.
  • Contribute to company marketing efforts, including social media interaction and attending meetings.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings, seminars, networking events, and community events as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of federal and state employment regulations and conduct ongoing research to stay current on employment and HR law updates.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the role and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in HR or HR-related functions within a professional services office, company, similar role, or advanced education in HR in lieu of work experience.
  • Earned or pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of general HR practices, principles, and how they apply to various businesses and industries preferred.
  • Interest in small business and entrepreneurship strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly related to files, documentation, communications, time tracking, and team support.
  • Working knowledge of general HR functions, theory, and practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, LinkedIn, and various HR, recruiting, and job posting platforms.
  • Strong internet research skills and ability to use multiple resources to gather information.
  • Deadline-oriented and detail-driven, with the ability to manage critical timelines and competing priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate options and recommend effective solutions.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify potential issues and opportunities.
  • Comfortable meeting new people, attending networking and community events, and developing professional relationships.
  • Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple projects and demands.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond positively to change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High level of integrity, ethical judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Confidence to ask questions, seek clarification, and make informed decisions.
  • Continued interest in learning, personal development, small business operations, and organizational growth.
  • Status: Non-exempt
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday; hours may vary. This position will start around 25 hours per week with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
  • Work Environment: Primarily on-site during the training period, approximately 90 days, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule following training
  • Travel: Travel to client sites may be required as needed

This position works within various office environments and requires regular telephone communication, client and stakeholder interaction, computer use, and use of various software applications. Professionalism and discretion are required.
