We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Safety Officer to assist with the implementation of all aspects of our health and safety programs. This individual will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety excellence across all facets of our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and helping to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

 

Responsibilities

·        Maintain, develop, implement, and oversee company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures

·        Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, PHSMA, FERC, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations

·        Lead safety training initiatives, including onboarding and ongoing employee education

·        Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions

·        Collaborate with project managers and field superintendents to promote safe work practices

·        Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation

·        Serve as one of the primary points of contact for all safety-related matters

·        Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization

 

Requirements

·        3-5 years of safety management experience, preferably in pipeline construction or related field

·        Strong knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, DOT, FERC, and other applicable governing regulations

·        Proven leadership ability and experience managing safety teams and programs

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·        Proficient in Microsoft applications

·        Ability to travel to job sites as needed

 

·        Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)

·        Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)

·        Experience working in pipeline or energy sector environments
