You'll be joining our Commerce Sales team, where we focus on merchant acquisition and helping businesses grow through GoDaddy's commerce and payments ecosystem. This team operates at the intersection of sales, product, and customer success — working to bring new merchants onto our platform and accelerate their path to value. As the leader of our frontline sales organization, you'll tackle the challenges of scaling acquisition, improving funnel conversion, and building a team culture where sellers can do their best work. This role directly supports our commerce products and plays a critical part in how we grow our merchant base.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and develop a frontline sales team focused on high velocity merchant acquisition and activation, while recruiting, onboarding, and growing top-tier talent to support a rapidly scaling organization.
- →Build and maintain a performance system anchored in accountability, coaching consistency, and data-driven decision making, including pipeline reviews, calibration meetings, and performance reporting.
- →Monitor and manage critical KPIs including win rate, speed to first payment, aGPV, GCR contribution, adherence, and call effectiveness to drive funnel conversion, seller productivity, and customer outcomes.
- →Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, and Customer Success to optimize lead flow, activation, and lifetime value across the merchant journey.
- →Ensure compliance with sales processes, compensation structures, and operational standards, while fostering a team culture built on urgency, ownership, and integrity.
- 5+ years of leadership experience at a SaaS, fintech, payments, or merchant services organization, with a track record of strong results in conversion rate, productivity, and customer value creation.
- Demonstrated success leading inbound or outbound sales teams with measurable outcomes in acquisition and customer growth.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales metrics, forecasting, and using CRM data to guide execution.
- Clear and effective communication and coaching skills, with a focus on people development and team performance.
- Ability to work on site and lead in person.
- Experience scaling sales teams in a high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with payments ecosystems, merchant acquisition flows, and card present/card not present products.
- Experience partnering with Sales Operations on compensation, reporting, and process design.
- Background with AI-enabled sales tools or automation platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
